5 - Wakeboarding in a Cranberry Bog

The winch crew travel to Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, for one of the most aesthetically pleasing wakeskating sessions you will ever see. Watch what happens when some of the world's best wakeskaters take over a cranberry bog. Don't worry, no Cranberries were wasted, or destroyed making this episode.

The whole process of harvesting cranberries is in of itself fascinating. That someone thought to flood the fields to take advantage of the float that healthy cranberries have is pretty ingenious.

And of course, Red Bull thought to film some star wakeboarders being winched across the bogs. Mesmerizing and amazing.

Whao. That is some roiling pool of liquid hot magma. And that guy (and the cameraman for that matter) are awfully close to it.

1 - A Boy, His Train and Space

We sent my son's favorite train "Stanley" to space in a weather balloon with a HD camera and an old cell phone for GPS. He was recovered 27 miles away in a corn field and we got some great footage of the trip. This video documents the journey from liftoff to landing.

A father and son team build a rig to send his favorite toy train into space and film the whole thing. In father, Ron Fugelseth’s own words:

"My 4 year old and Stanley are inseparable like Calvin and Hobbes. He’s been attached to him since he was two, and they play, sleep and do everything together. I animated Stanley’s face with After Effects and Photoshop to bring him to life how I imagine my son sees him."

2- Lightning Strikes the Three Tallest Chicago Buildings At the Same Time

On June 23rd, 2010 a line of nasty storms rolled through Chicago in the early evening hours. I stayed late at the office that night to work on some things and to avoid the rush hour chaos that was going on. Once I returned home I wasn't really paying attention to what was happening outside until someone asked me if I was watching the lightning. I took a quick look out my window and saw some quick hits of lightning and ran back to my room to grab my camera and tripod. I was standing out there randomly hitting the record button and hoping I would catch some of the strikes. About 15 minutes in nothing was happening during my current recording so I reached to stop it and start a new one. At the moment I touched the camera three of the tallest buildings in Chicago were struck by lightning at the same time. Willis Tower (Tallest), Trump International Hotel and Tower (2nd Tallest) and the John Hancock Building(4th tallest). If you listen closely, you can hear me lightly say "yes!" after the triple strike happens. **** 6/27 - Posted the sequel with more strikes from this storm! http://vimeo.com/12905965 *** HD Video was shot on a Canon EOS 7D. Video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio. Music: Sufjan Stevens - To the Workers of the Rock River Valley Region, I Have an Idea Concerning Your Predicament

We also have a teaser video which you can watch on my vimeo page (http://vimeo.com/5752275). For more information about the video and our other adventures please contact Andrew Wonder (Director/Cinematographer) at andrewwonder@mac.com. Steve and I just completed another underground expedition with Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erling_Kagge). It was featured in a three page article on the front page of the NY Times metro section and was written by Alan Feuer (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/02/nyregion/02underground.html). We were also covered by NPR's Jacki Lyden whose report will be aired on 1/2/11 and posted on NPR's site (http://www.npr.org/2011/01/02/132482428/into-the-tunnels-exploring-the-underside-of-nyc). Shot on a canon 5d mkii with canon 24 f/1.4 (version 1) with the zacuto rapid fire, Zoom H4N and a sennheiser g2 wireless lav. The zacuto was really great at being there when I needed it but also staying out of the way. Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Thanks for watching!

4 - The Lincoln Tunnel at 190mph

Former Formula One driver David Coulthard drove the Red Bull Racing Running Show Car through the 1.5 mile Lincoln Tunnel, which connects New York and New Jersey. Coulthard hit incredibly high speeds, no doubt setting the record for the fastest-ever commute through the tunnel.

I haven't driven through the Lincoln Tunnel for about 10 years, and that was in a UHAUL. So, yeah, this is a bit of wish fulfillment.

2 - Slacklining between two moving semis

World record-holding highliner Faith Dickey battles in the wind to cross the line between two speeding trucks. Will she make it before the trucks reach the tunnel that lies behind the next bend? Please like, share and comment! The stunt was set up to show the precise handling of the new Volvo FH.

A world champion slackliner attemps to traverse a line suspended between two moving Volvo (yes it's an ad) semi-trucks. Astounding.
